All people have the right to healthy and safe relationships. Unfortunately there is a lack of appropriate education out there to support those relationships for people with disabilities.
The rate of sexual assault is seven times higher for those with intellectual disabilities than those without. These videos were created to give people information on their bodily autonomy and right to safety. They provide helpful rules and scenarios that many people have or will encounter so that participants can make a plan for their safety and health. We know that even if someone has good education, knows rules, knows their body belongs to them – they may still get assaulted and that IS NOT THEIR FAULT.
This video series includes 5 videos on different topics, and a Video Discussion Guide.
